Imperium Mortis

Imperium Mortis is a platformer boss centric game set during the peak of the roman empire. You play as a prisoner of war named Paxius, who is about to be executed however offers an alternative. Paxius offers himself to fight in the roman colosseum stating that the gladiators in there are all weak compared to him.

The emperor, hearing this, becomes intrigued by his boldness and offers him a little wager. If Paxius can defeat the emperor's three grandest champions, he will let him free on the one condition that Paxius does not interfere with the roman empire ever again. This type of offer is one that Paxius couldn't refuse, a chance at freedom and a chance to humiliate the emperor in the process, Paxius agreed almost instantly.

Now, Paxius will fight with everything he's got to outlast and defeat the emperor's champions and earn his freedom. Will he succeed? Or will he  join the countless lives that have fallen to this Empire of Death?
